The KING JIM Group has defined the environmental policy below to practice responsible behavior for the environment as a member of society.
As a supplier of products, the KING JIM Group views environmental considerations as an important management issue, and actively make effective use of resources. As a responsible member of society, we aim to live harmoniously with nature and strive to conserve the global environment in all aspects of our corporate activities.
We conduct the practice of giving consideration to the environment in the planning, development, and design stages.
We will strive to reduce our environmental impact in order to realize a sustainable society.
We will promote effective use of resources with the aim of realizing a recycling-oriented society.
We will comply with environmental laws and regulations, as well as other requirements that we have agreed to.
We will strive to raise the environmental awareness of each and every employee, and engage in continuous environmental conservation activities.
The government of Japan, through the revision of its fundamental policy regarding the promotion of the procurement of eco-friendly goods, etc., based on laws regarding the promotion, etc. of the procurement of eco-friendly goods, etc., by countries, etc. (Law No. 100, 2000; referred to as “Act on Promoting Green Purchasing”), has established its intent that lumber and wood products that have been certified to be legal and potentially sustainable are to be subject to this promotion.
In light of this, The KING JIM Group has established The KING JIM Group’s principles regarding illegal logging as it pertains to wood materials (including paper materials), which serve as the raw materials for products that conform to the Act on Promoting Green Purchasing, and will make it public here. 1. The KING JIM Group declares its opposition to illegal forms of deforestation.
2. The KING JIM Group will endeavor to promote the procurement of wood materials (including paper materials) that have been certified for their legality.
3. When procuring wood products (including paper products) that serve as the raw materials for products, The KING JIM Group will endeavor to maintain a system to certify the legality, such as segregated management and documentation regarding raw materials.
