Release of pomera DM250US
KING JIM Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has released a digital typewriter, pomera DM250US, for the U.S. market. A launch campaign has been started on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website in the U.S. since February 18th, 12:00 pm (EST), 2025.
The digital typewriter pomera is a compact and portable digital device specifically introduced to Japanese market for writing. It powers on instantly, enabling smooth writing. Since its launch in November 2008, it has been widely used for taking notes and writing on the go.
Based on the Japanese model, pomera DM250, we have developed the pomera DM250US for the U.S. market. The DM250US is designed to provide a creative environment for writers and professionals in the U.S., allowing them to focus on their writing.
The launch of this product in the U.S. is a part of our strategies to strengthen overseas sales, as outlined the fundamental policies in the 11th Medium-Term Management Plan formulated in August 2024.
The DM250US features a newly designed key layout based on the US keyboard layout. While retaining the features of the Japanese model, the DM250US has been designed for ease of use when typing in English. New functions have been added to support English typing, such as spell check and automatic capitalization of the first letter of a sentence and the pronoun "I".
KING JIM strives to meet customers' requirements with pomera DM250US and would expand the market as well.
