KING JIM (SHANGHAI) TRADING CO., LTD., one of the overseas subsidiaries of KING JIM Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has released PREPPY STYLE stationery series for Chinese market on December 20th, 2024.

KING JIM has been expanding a wide range of functional stationery products mainly in Japan. In the 11th Medium-Term Management Plan formulated in August 2024, strengthening overseas sales has been set as one of the fundamental policies, and efforts are being made to establish an organization for local planning and design.
As the first initiative of this effort, a new series PREPPY STYLE, incorporating fashion designs trending in China, has been launched.
PREPPY STYLE is a series of stationery items that reflects the elegant and well-bred student style that has become a fashion trend in China. The series is based on items from the highly functional and popular stationery lineup in Japan that are also expected to be in demand in the Chinese market. The iconic school emblem-style logos and border designs are featured throughout the series.

KING JIM strives to capture new customers in Chinese market by the release of PREPPY STYLE and would expand the market as well.

Product Features of PREPPY STYLE

PREPPY STYLE Foldable Clear File

Compact and easy to carry by folding A4 documents in half. It is based on the COMPACK clear file sold in Japan.
A bi-fold mechanism that slides out the pocket allows documents to be carried in a smaller size. When folded, the documents do not crease easily and do not open unexpectedly due to an elastic band.
The series logo is printed on the file cover, and the border design is expressed through the color combination of the printed lines on the cover and the elastic band.

PREPPY STYLE Document Folder / Card Folder

The folders allow easy filing by just inserting documents. Its elastic string adjusts the thickness in accordance with the contents. It is based on the SAND IT sold in Japan.
With a simple structure consisting only of an elastic band, plastic sheets and index tabs, it enables to roughly classify documents, clear folders and notebooks. The index inside adopts the same color as the elastic band.
The border design is expressed through the color combination of the printed lines on the cover and the elastic band.

PREPPY STYLE Ring Notebook

This notebook features a unique design where the binding rings are separated into upper and lower sections, preventing the rings from touching your hand while writing. It is based on the ring notebook TEFRENU sold in Japan.
With the separated ring mechanism, you can enjoy a stress-free writing experience without the rings getting in the way. Additionally, the rings can be opened and closed, allowing for the addition and replacement of loose-leaf sheets. You can use commercially available loose-leaf sheets. To enhance usability and design, an elastic band has been added which the TEFRENU in Japan doesn't have.
The border design is expressed through the color combination of the printed lines on the cover and the elastic band.

PREPPY STYLE Carrying Pouch

This is a carrying pouch that allows you to carry small items together. It is based on the carrying pouch Carchette sold in Japan.
Mesh pockets inside allow you to organize items neatly. It comes with an adjustable shoulder strap, making it suitable for carrying photography accessories and gadgets.
The border design is expressed through the color combination of the zipper and piping.
